Dr. Nicole Hendrix is a licensed psychologist and board-certified behavior analyst experienced in helping children, teens, and young adults grow. Her goal is to empower children and families with the tools they need to succeed, always centering a collaborative and culturally responsive approach.
Dr. Hendrix specializes in supporting children with ADHD, anxiety, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, and emotional and behavioral regulation challenges. She offers comprehensive psychoeducational and developmental assessments, parent coaching, and academic consultation to help families navigate special education systems, IEPs, and 504 plans with confidence. Her therapy approach is tailored to each child’s unique strengths, incorporating cognitive-behavioral and behavioral strategies—especially those designed for neurodivergent kids. She believes in making assessment and therapy a meaningful and practical experience, using real-life examples, role-play, and hands-on learning strategies that translate into daily life. She is a certified therapist for PEERS® (an evidence-based social skills program) and certified trainer for Project ImPACT, helping parents foster early social and communication skills in their children.
Dr. Hendrix earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and human communication sciences at Northwestern University and her doctorate in school psychology from the University of Iowa. Her postgraduate training includes work with Emory University, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and the University of North Carolina TEACCH Autism Program. Previously as Assistant and then Associate Professor within the Emory University School of Medicine, she provided developmental assessments, conducted autism research, and trained over 25 psychologists now working with families across the country. She also led a clinic offering Project ImPACT parent coaching services, which supported hundreds of families.
Outside of work, Dr. Hendrix enjoys exploring Atlanta’s food scene with friends and family and spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking or enjoying a quiet moment on her porch.
